libbtparse-dev software package provides C library to parse BibTeX files - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbtparse-dev
libbtparse-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbtparse-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbtparse-dev *
You will get with libbtparse-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
